Permatex Disc Brake Quiet - Aerosol is specifically formulated to eliminate disc brake squeal, which results from vibration caused by friction forces in the braking system. The product stops brake squeal and chatter by dampening vibration at the caliper/brake pad interface. Provides a tighter fit and allows for easier disassembly.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

1. Provide adequate ventilation.
2. Remove the lug bolts holding the wheel assembly in place.
3. Remove pins (or bolts) holding the caliper assembly, to access pad assembly.
4. Remove dirt or grease from surface with Permatex Brake & Parts Cleaner.
5. Shake can thoroughly until the ball agitator inside the can is free. For best results, aerosol can should be at room temperature before spraying.
6. Holding can 8 to 10 inches from the back side of the disc pad, press the nozzle and apply a light even coat. Note: Do not apply on the side which comes into contact with the rotor.
7. For consistent coverage, apply one to two additional coats.
8. Allow the product to dry a minimum of 10 minutes per coat, then reassemble.

Note: Aerosol product will coat 10 to 12 sets of disc brakes, 3 coats per set.

For Cleanup

1. Turn can upside-down and spray to clear nozzle.
2. Clean hands with Permatex brand hand cleaners.

GENERAL INFORMATION

This product is not recommended for use in pure oxygen
and/or oxygen rich systems and should not be selected as
a sealant for chlorine or other strong oxidizing materials.

STORAGE

Products shall be ideally stored in a cool, dry location in unopened containers at a temperature between 8 to 28C (46 to 82F) unless otherwise labeled. Optimal storage is at the lower half of this temperature range.
